They provided us with professional service during preconstruction which identified multiple scope gaps in our projects. They were able to incorporate those scopes into their combined package and eliminate otherwise costly down time and budget issues. chris grossmann
A Boston native, Chris brings a combined 34 years of construction and development experience to ENE, owning and operating a developing company since 2018. In 2021 Chris teamed up to start the Essential Northeast family of subcontractors. Since then, ENE has completed dozens of projects in and around Boston, focusing on the residential market which drives Chris’s overall passion for the industry.
Throughout his more than three decades of industry experience, he has worked on both large and small projects, taking them from conceptual to design and approvals, into finance and through construction. He was able to gain experience at every level of the business from the ownership to the supplier to the subcontractor while working at renowned construction firms like Suffolk, Consigli, NESC, and Rise Construction.
He brings his passion for efficiency and operational excellence to Essential Northeast, ensuring his partners and clients enjoy smooth and successful project experiences.

The Ellery is a residential community located on Gardner Street in West Roxbury. Featuring a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, fitness center, and other common amenities, the 71-unit building replaced several commercial buildings in the area.

Renovation of 110 residential units in occupied building. Consisted of replacing kitchen finishes, flooring, and painting.

35 Braintree is a 7-story multi-family residential building features 149 units, common areas and lounges, as well as bike storage.
